June-September and December-February for dry season wildlife viewing. Gorilla trekking permits are easier to obtain in these periods.

Visa Requirements

Most visitors need a visa ($50 online or on arrival). Consider the East African Tourist Visa ($100) for visits to Uganda, Kenya, and Rwanda.

Health & Safety

Yellow fever vaccination required. Malaria prophylaxis recommended. Travel insurance with medical evacuation coverage is essential.
